Saturday, March 15, 2008 - Awesome effort here. Popped and poured with homemade veal parm and pasta with homemade red sauce. There is a lot going on here with the earth/stone/mineral 'funk' from the sangiovese to the blackberry and black cherry from the cab. Tannins and acid have mellowed beautifully. Nice long finish (30s) with chocolate, blackberry and mineral. Wish I bought more of this. If you have some, pop one now as it is really singing. 91-93 points.
