Thursday, July 20, 2023 - I keep looking for that elusive Côte-Rôtie that surprises. Unfortunately, this one wasn't it. I found the nose to be almost indistinguisable (no, I'm not Covid+), and the taste was flat and uneventful. Maybe an off bottle. Maybe not. Maybe it will come to life with some air.

10/16/2023 9:27:00 PM - Not much improvement after a day in the bottle.

I find that most of the Cote Rotie wines I own tend to be closed when first opened and need some air time before they start to shine. Unfortunately this particular bottle didn't really open up for me.
