Wednesday, June 14, 2023 - Allowed to breathe in glass 1 hour. Clear deep dark garnet color. Lovely bouquet of dusty dried sweet blackberries, blackcurrants, black cherries and their liqueurs, fennel, spicy oak, bourbon vanilla, lavender, violets, nutmeg, cardamom, sage, bay leaf. Full body on the palate, seamless, beautiful balance, satin-velvet mouthfeel, lingering finish. Improved with air, showed best on the first evening. Seems at peak or slightly past peak.
