Monday, August 10, 2020 - I haven’t been wowed by this level of quality in an $11.99 bottle of wine — correction, $20 or under — in a very, very long time. Fresh ground pepper, blackberry, and cherry cola notes on the nose, followed by a supple, juicy mouthful of dark fruit, more pepper. Excellent, fresh, lingering finish! Not amazingly complex, sure, but really vivid and well knit. How’d they do it? More magic tricks like this, Thunevin-Calvert, si vous plait!!
