Friday, February 19, 2010 - Impenetrable, dark color. Nose of rich fruit. Plums, raspberries, cherries, and leather on the palate with great concentration, balance, and fullness. Long, substantial finish. This wine seems to be at its peak and ripeness. This bottle had a touch of effervescence after opening, which dissipated quickly but is probably a sign of impending end of life. This wine has been stored horizontally in 58 degrees (F).
