Pure fruit on the nose with not a hint of old Rhone funk. A juicy touch of acidity at first followed by a sweet, soft, rich red-fruit and smoke palate. Still has length. There seems to be a bit of variation with these, but this was a delicious - if not overly complex - bottle.
