Saturday, November 23, 2019 - Piedmont II - better and learnings; 11/23/2019-11/29/2019 (Barolo, Alba, others): I had super unfair expectations for this wine. There was a big Piedmont event the weekend before and many said this was the producer that stood out. But this is the most recent release and those wines were many years old. So this is darker fruits, some mineral, there's a great vibrancy and brightness tot he wine. It's really made to age. There's just this background that maybe with some time you will pick up on elegance, but it's not there yet. So it was nice, but not really drinking right now. Hold for a long time.
