Sunday, January 21, 2024 - The grower champagne stole the show (as I expected). A clear sense of place is showing here, and Meunier is the star giving off both fruit and spice in spades. There’s some lovely autolytic notes of sweet pastry here showing what the most lees aging can give among the three bottles. Not the last statement in complexity, by any stretch, but a wonderfully balanced, high quality expression of Meunier. The group universally loved this wine, and I did too. 91pts.
