80 Points

Monday, July 30, 2018 - For years this has been my favorite village level Chablis. The 2016 is a disappointment, however. Nowhere near the minerality and crispness and the fruit is just a touch heavier. Overall it is a pleasant wine but not one with which to introduce friends to Chablis. Apparently they had to pick 3 to 4 days earlier than hoped and pick everything at once because of forecast storms. Hence the lack of concentration and depth. From what I have heard, the 2017 should be back to the level I have come to expect in this wine. But the 2016 is a pass IMO.
