Sunday, February 16, 2014 - Since this is a Tremblay '04, the cork of course fell apart upon opening so pushed it into the bottle and filter decanted. Murky dark red in the glass. Dark minerally pine-tinged aromas. On the palate, more dark fruit, a mineral streak, integrated wood, sweat, and surprising orange/citrus zest. Soft tannins, finishes relatively long without dryness. This has an umami thing going on. Surprisingly drinking quite well, certainly peaking.
