Sunday, October 28, 2018 - Decanted for about an hour. Having for dinner with bolognese and spaghetti squash. Low carb Sunday.

Crimson-purple. A little clarity at rim. Bright.

Nose of roses, overripe melon, red plum, sour cherry. Super elegant. Really reminds me of some of the better Patricia Green wines we’ve had.

Wine is sound. Touch of new oak. Medium acid, medium tannins, dry. Ripe red fruit on the palate. Really nicely balanced wine. Mouth-filling body, which is unusual for an Oregon Pinot. No dirt, earth, tobacco like you sometimes get.

Over a couple of hours this wine really evolved into something remarkable. Balance was perfect and predominant red fruit remained compelling, never cloying.

This is a lovely wine, elegant and well structured. Maybe a bit of age on these will put them into the rare and elusive “magical” category. At least the equal of PGC Mysterious and Notorious. I’m buying.
