Wednesday, July 1, 2009 - Drinking well for such a young pup. Spicy red fruits, cinnamon, anise, smoky tobacco, and peppered pork on the nose. Ripe and rich cherries on the palate that were actually very similar to the 05 Bionic Frog tasted along side. But the similarities stopped there. Baking spices, dried herbs, anise, moist earth, and strawberries. Nicely balanced wine with a great dry finish. Would like to try in 10 years to see more secondary notes. A very enjoyable bottle that reminded me I need more CDPs...and let em age a bit. Went extremely well with lamb chops and olive/anchovy tapenade.
