Sunday, March 20, 2011 - Brought to prime rib dinner at the Pensacola Yacht Club with Pat, Win, Will, Rich and Nine (We are down here visiting Pat and Win, staying on Perdido Key for 5 nights). Purple with reddish rim. Nose of leather, licorice, hoisin, fig, and black cherry. Savory palate of dark fruit, minerals, licorice, and smoked meat. Very good length. Pleasant acidity. Grippy, youthful tannins softened by the prime rib. Still somewhat backward.
