Thursday, July 23, 2015 - This was quite a bit more restrained than what I expected. I was prepared for a deeper and slightly heavier CdP but what I got was a softer, more elegant wine. Fairly muted nose with some cherry and spice. On the palate there was cherry candy, strawberry, kirsch, minerals and garigue. The fruit was mellow but not muted as if it were past its prime, just not at the forefront. Tannins were very low-key. Very smooth drinker overall. Quite a bit of sediment even after a slow decant. Drink it now.
