Sunday, November 20, 2016 - Wow. Probably the best vintage of Telegraphe I've had. Still very youthful with an extremely vibrant dense crimson color in the glass. Nose was shy compared to the palate but showed some potpourri spice and menthol. Palate was still quite dense with fine tannin, but accessible. Red and black fruits, exotic spice, sandalwood, and leather mixed together in a very expressive way. Finish is upfront and length, with meat, leather, and sandalwood notes. Great CdP, still very youthful but early in its drinking windows. A lot of old school sensibilities here--elegant and polished while retaining rusticity. Hold 3+yrs if you can.
