Saturday, June 20, 2020 - Absolutely great! Decanted for one hour. Intense aromas of bruised black cherry, resin, pipe tobacco and dried leaves. Medium weight in the mouth with black cherry, black raspberries, and cloves. Rich and powerful but still plenty of freshness and even a few grippy tannins in the back. In balance. Exactly what aged CDP should be. Drink now but will hold for another few years. Paired with rare NY steaks with chimichurri.
