Friday, September 11, 2020 - Decanted into a Voss bottle close to noon, and it must've been ~7-8hrs by the time we got to this during dinner. Pure white-flowers, apples & citrus/lemons were the main drivers for the nose, on top of a faint (but very fine) streak of oak (almost in the background). More yellow-fruits followed, with an almost powdery/creamy extract & texture, further buoyed by great intensity, electricity & cut on the palate. Beside the '05 Marc Colin Monty, this seemed to be more angular (or leaner), but I certainly expect this to flesh out and improve even more given time in the cellar. A very nice showing!

1/24/2021 8:31:00 PM - Yes, it's the narrow glass bottle (https://www.nexpressdelivery.co.uk/products/waters/bottled-water/voss/Voss-Still-Water-Glass-800ml.html). Reasons why I use it as a "decanter" (of sorts):

    1. It's glass ("inert")
    2. It's 800ml (just nice to decant a bottle of 750ml wine)
    3. The air-contact surface area (is just bigger than that of the wine bottle) - in a sense, it's like performing a slow-ox (w/ a slightly larger exposure area)

    Hope this explains...
