Tuesday, June 11, 2019 - Five winos excellent adventure , mostly in Burgundy; 6/7/2019-6/15/2019 (Beaune, France): Exquisite nose displaying perfectly ripe fresh white fruit, pear, apple, lemon, candied lemon peel, a hint of flint, subtle sweet spices and limestone. Already showing unbelievable finesse and balance, very finely layered pure white fruit, very precise and detailed, bright acidity, strong limestone mineral and a seamless long pure white fruit driven finish. Drinking incredibly well but can improve for two decades or more. For my palate, clearly the best wine. Perhaps Leflaive is at the top once again!
