Friday, April 15, 2022 - Sassicaia 2016 was drunk in 2022.
The recommended drinking window is between 2024-2040.

The legendary wine was very perfumed, florals like. It was let aerate for 4 hrs according to a sommelier.

The Sassicaia has a deep ruby color. On the nose, the first perfume that hit me was violet, lavender, dried flowers, sweet tobacco, menthol, wet stone.

While on the palate, The Sassicaia offered full-bodied, high alcohol level, well balanced indeed. There were, for me, blackberry, cassis, black fruit, minerals, earthy, tobacco cherry, and apple!.

This is truly one of the best wine I have ever tried.
