Friday, November 1, 2019 - Been in the glass for two hours now and has slowly been opening up.
Nose pretty much like a good young Burgundy. Red crushed not ripe red berries, raspberry sticks out, pine sap, spice, marzipan, oak, cold wet iron, almost like a light weight Bachelet Gevrey-Chambertin.
Drinking - a very red bright fruit collage, a bit mouth puckering acidity, a little bit one dimensional hollow mid, that finish with some oak, a bit of lingering tobacco smoke, grapefruit bite, chalk and tannin finish. It's drinking thinner than I'd like but have high hopes this might be a better bottle in a few years. A youthful wine. I'll try the next bottle in two years.
