Wednesday, November 28, 2018 - Lithe, very lithe pinot. Normally I enjoy this from Sonoma coast wines, because it restrains the fruit and allows the terroir and cooler climate fog and garrique announce themselves earlier on the palate. This wine unfortunately has lithe fruit and everything else. It’s just a bit empty. Balanced but empty. I see drinking window is 2020-2026; I could be missing something here, but I don’t see how this wine has the backbone to drink that long. I feel like it will just become tart and vacuous.
