Wednesday, February 6, 2019 - Holy wow. This was one of the best new world Pinots I have had in a long time (and I drink a *lot* of Pinot). It shows great in the glass, has a tremendous burst of fresh flavors on the palate, and just lingers in the most wonderful way. I am so glad I disregarded my own tasting notes and held a few bottles. Only one left in the cellar and I'm struggling to decide when to relive that experience. It's hard to believe that this is a 15-year old bottling. Tasted next to Mark Bradford Vineyard and Jerusalem Hill Vineyard, also from Domaine Serene and the 2004 vintage; the Evenstad Reserve not only held its own, but showed that the blends when done right can be so amazing.
