90 Points

Tuesday, January 7, 2020 - Nose is lively and fresh, showing pear, melon, and light vanilla. Also quite herbaceous, with white flowers, spice, and beeswax. Palate is very rich, in rhone fashion. Slightly honeyed pear and melon on the palate. A touch of almond. Nice mineral notes for a Rhone white. Luscious, full-bodied texture. Just a tad oily. Acidity is high enough to keep the wine from seeming overbearing or heavy. Like Chave’s other negoce wines, this bottle is an excellent value.
