Wednesday, June 2, 2010 - Still young with big, unexpected bold earthy aromas. The mid palate is meaty and robust with a medium toasty blanket of tobacco and coffee tones, followed by a slightly hidden yet rich cherry finish. Surprisingly, after 1 hour in a decanter it still needs time to burn off the freshly opened bottle "funk". Next time we open this wine, we will wait longer to enjoy from the decanter and pair it with a nice grilled pork loin!
