Friday, October 11, 2019 - Again, surprised to see an 86 score on CT for this.

Austere, acidic, steely with grippy tannins. Strong alcohol and a bit bitter on the open. Not as fruity and smooth as you would expect from a California merlot. Unoaked. A touch of spice. Good, but not ready for prime time. Needs a few more years in the dark.
