Sunday, April 29, 2018 - Second bottle of this 2014 so far this year. I preferred the bottle last night more, as well. The balance and citrus quality to this bottle is better focused, and I also found the wine to be leaner/lighter in weight than my notes reflect from the former bottle. The lime, orange and overall purity of this bottle resonated well for me. I also didn't find the imprint of oak here as I did on another bottle of 2013 SRH AVA Velvet Bee. So, if an intention was made to shift how that was crafted within the style between vintages, then I would say it worked well.
