Wednesday, September 7, 2022 - Drinking spectacularly well albeit still quite young. Starting to show some mature notes but with proper cellaring this easily has 1-2 decades to go. Highly recommend. Given the price point a reasonable but not particularly good QPR. Enjoyed with the appetizer course in Helsinki at restaurant OLO with their higher end tasting and wine pairing menu - paired superbly with raw sweet Icelandic shrimp with a complex sauce. Classic higher end small production grand cru rosé champagne. Medium bodied, starting to develop some complexity and layering with a very pleasant medium length aftertaste. Slightly darker then salmon pink, clear and with clustered small bubbles. Nose bright, explosive and effervescent with lees, bread, tangerine and a heavier sweeter note of maple syrup. Flavor profile more tropical and fruity with lees, yeasty bread and kitchen spices up front rapidly giving way to dark cherry, a hint of caramel, canteloupe and mango.
