Sunday, August 15, 2021 - 2nd Bottle of this. Decanted for about 1.5 hours. It feels really ripe in flavour with a fair whack of vanilla oak. The mataro tends to dominate with its earthy, brambly, spice notes. There is some good tannic grip on the finish. I left over night and came back to it the next evening - the wine was a bit more balanced out and harmonious, with the varieties complementing each other a bit better. I did not enjoy this as much as the first one.
