Wednesday, January 9, 2019 - Winorama: A winter in Wineland III; 1/4/2019-1/13/2019 (Portland/Willamette, Eureka, Napa): This is a very nice version of what I consider to be a pretty prototypical Napa valley floor wine. Good red fruits. A lot of vanilla. A softer style a bit lower in tannin and easier to approach. Lower acidity. Made more for drinking sooner. In that style I'd say it's one of my favorites (mostly because the fruit is not overdone and the wine seems to have some balance). Compared in general I feel like it's lacking a certain oomph or interest factor. It is a second wine and the first wine certain has that next level.
