Tuesday, October 11, 2022 - Expressive nose of 2022 awarded to this superb Valle de Casablanca syrah masterpiece! Dense, dark and translucent ruby, garnet edges. Nose brimming with blackcurrant, wow. Spice, hints of licorice, olives - far, far away from the Northern Rhône cured meat-styled Syrah. Super-approachable medium-bodied palate, fresh and with juice as per nose, added orange zest. Full-out velvet explosion, fruit-driven. Lack of complexity and tannic structure outweighed by powerhouse fruit and elegans. No need for further cellaring.
