Saturday, August 15, 2020 - Color: Med-dark to dark ruby (impressive).
Nose: Classic burgundian nose of fresh black cherry and earth. Definite touch of sweet damp earth, with a distinct note of sandalwood and Christmas spice. Very French smelling. Reminds me a little of a village gevrey-chambertin in this vintage.
Pal: Med body, good concentration, long, fresh finish. Soft tannins. Slightly tart finish.
Solid, old vines, unfiltered red Burgundy from a small traditional producer in a good vintage at $40. Good value.
Drink now. Will hold until 2026 (in a cool cellar).
