Thursday, November 8, 2018 - 2018 Villa d’Este Wine Symposium – Kelly, RJ, Justin and Kevin's excellent adventure; 11/7/2018-11/11/2018 (Villa D’este, Lake Como): Expressive nose displaying intense blue and black fruit, cremes des cassis, blueberry jam, ink, lavender, vanilla, cedar and earth. Excellent concentration, layers upon layers of intense cassis, unctuous yet silky and polished, bright acidity, strong earthy mineral, noticeable fine tannins and a long intense black fruit driven finish with cedar and ink at the end. Slightly Napa cab like opulent but decisively Bordeaux in structure. Really impressive showing.
