Monday, July 6, 2015 - Still a beast…and I like it! Last bottle was 4yrs ago…still dark and closer to Syrah than Pinot……the fruit is inky and liqueured with wild berry, black cherry, boysenberry…perfect ripeness to sweetness…silky smooth(Pinot!) yet still full of structure and richness. NO WAY you guess Pinot Noir here…and no way 13yrs old! None the less this is tasty stuff…Cali style! Mocha, dried leaves, dusty cedar/graphite spice, licorice, tar, Kirsch liqueur/creme de cassis mixer…smoked white peppered meat and wild purple flowers……huge creamy mouthful of flavor…..VERY youthful and still going strong!
