90 Points

Wednesday, April 1, 2020 - Flower day - Amazingly GREEN in the glass - colour of lime juice. On the nose it’s classic NZ Sauv Blanc with the green grassiness, a touch of jalapeño and gooseberries, but there’s also a nice touch of lime as well. It’s an over the top exuberant nose - very intense. Interesting but still somewhat simple... On the palate the first hit is citrus and medium plus acidity but then there’s rich fruit - gooseberry and fresh lime juice with cilantro. The finish is quite long with the acidity carrying on with loads of lime, gooseberry and a touch jalapeño and cilantro. Worth the extra dollars??? Maybe... I’d actually like to see where this goes with a bit of development - it’s got everything in spades so may develop well for 5 years or so. May get a bottle to put down and see...
