Saturday, January 19, 2019 - Sulfury fumes on the nose. Hits the palate with auslese power - not in terms of sweetness, but on account of its weight class and punch. The sweetness is actually quite nicely dialed back and this doesn't turn into fruit juice on the table like so many spats do these days - it stays crisp even when it loses its chill. The fruit is on the edge of ripe, lemony but more rind than flesh, so the sweetness serves it nicely. Sealed with a Diam cork - thank you.
