Friday, February 1, 2019 - Deep purplish red. A little funky on the nose to start with some savory nuances, green olives, wet gravel and bitter cocoa. Medium plus tannins (6.5/10) and medium bodied. Rich and juicy palate with layers of cinnamon, fine powdered cocoa, vanilla, and almost caramel like. Even more layers with notes of spiced herbs, black cherries and minerality. Long and lingering finish with solid acidity. Nose and palate were completely different. Really interesting wine! Drink till 2030. (93+)
