Sunday, June 3, 2018 - I am a relatively new Sauv Blanc drinker so don’t have a huge library to compare this first vintage of Upchurch’s Southwest Facing Sauv Blanc against. It has a bright acidity that I’d say reminded me of a tart or somewhat, dare I say, sour grapefruit. Very dry and much more flavor than I expected. I think this wine paired better with a soft goat cheese than just sipping on its own.
