Likes this wine:

Wednesday, November 6, 2019 - Private Preserve after Day 1; Slightly chilled both days; (The winery recommends a 55 °F serving temp!)

88% Grenache & 12% Mourvèdre obtained from the Rancho Solo (39%), Alta Loma (34%), Ventana (15%), & Del Barba (12%) Vyds, the 1st 3 being cool climate Monterery sources of the Grenache, & the last being the Contra Costa source of the Mourvèdre; 13.6% ABV, 5.5 g/L T..A., & 3.72 pH; 2,425 cases

N: Red rasps/wild straws with undertones of earthiness

P: LM body; RNDISH entry with NICE, ALMOST swtish frt met by just a SMIDGIN of astringent PUCKER which fairly seamlessly transitions into a LONG, VERY slightly spicy finish with a TANGY/swtness to the few, unoffensively firming, very, VERY fine tannins. Drinking VERY nicely for now & through '20, poss a BIT longer. My EXC- for this VERSATILE, food friendly style, & I'd *definitely* be open to an argument for higher based upon the QPR of the $11.99 pd for it! // Day 2: VERY minimal fall off; 92 pts WE @ $20, 90 Vinous (Raynolds), & 1* ("Good Value") Connoisseurs' Guide. [As of early Aug '19, wine-searcher still shows numerous U.S. sources from $14-$20.55.]

Note: Also tasted 9/1, 3, & 23/2018, + 6/13 & 7/27/19.
