Saturday, March 7, 2020 - La Paulée de New York Grand Tasting (Pier Sixty, Chelsea Piers - New York NY): Walk around tasting. Very rich for the vintage with mostly black fruit, cherry liqueur and an unexpected mint note. A sweet ripeness made this seem forward, but there firm structure in the very near background, perhaps hidden by the wine's baby fat, that will reward a decade (or three) in the cellar. 92-93 point potential, 2027 forward.
