Thursday, January 27, 2022 - Pop and pour. I've been reluctant to open Napa 2016s because so many of them need more time but all the tasting notes on this are full speed ahead so I pulled it for steak night. Wow! This is one of the best Bevans I've ever tasted. Per usual, broad swaths of saturated flavor on the palate but this cuvee has the usual ripe fruit balanced with stunning earth. Just pure pleasure from start to finish. Will it get even better? Who knows? But it's fantastic now.
