Monday, September 20, 2021 - It has a wonderful mature Bordeaux texture, plenty of ripe black fruit, and a healthy amount of oak. But it lacks the complexity of a seriously age-worthy Bordeaux blend. I guess that’s the trade off you make for a wine that’s ready to drink so young.
I'd honestly prefer this a year or two younger. For a blend that’s >50% Cab Sauv, the tannins are incredibly resolved. $40 from the winery is a little steep for me to buy it again, but by no means is it highway robbery.
