Tuesday, July 16, 2019 - Napa 2019; 7/14/2019-7/18/2019: Tasted at Bevan. Coravin pour so not much air. Needs time in the cellar or a healthy decant at the moment. Better than the ‘17 but this puppy is still a bit wild and disjointed. Nice red and black fruit profile, oak is starting to recede but the tannins are still a bit drying. Somewhat of a hot note on the back end. Hold 5 years or give this a couple hours of air. Glad I have a bunch.
