Saturday, May 4, 2019 - In stark contrast to the Bruno Clair Chambolle-Musigny we had just before it, this is a flamboyant, extracted glass full of creme de cassis with a vanilla bean sweetness of the finish. The Burgundy is a lovely lady, but the Venge is a one night stand. Many new world palates will love this American crowd pleaser. A bit of noticeable alcohol on the finish that knocked this back a few points for me.
