Tuesday, March 3, 2009 - 15.0% alcohol. Still young, but I couldn't resist. It is also still one of the best American Syrahs I have had. Deep red/purple color. Intensely aromatic, with black and blue fruits, pepper, meat, earth, and spice. In the mouth, plush, ripe, balanced, and masculine. Loads of fruit, spice, complexity, and acidity. Stunning finish. This is great stuff. And it's just barely getting over its most youthful phase. Will go strong for years. A-/A
