93 Points

Sunday, January 3, 2021 - PNP into Zalto Burgundy glass (“Fruit” day): Pale garnet to the eyes, quite some small deposits.

Purplish red cherries and plums (liqueur like), some fresh black currants too. Elegant florals and white spices.

Acidity is certainly high, followed by good minerality. For a modernist style this feel quite natural albeit a little all over the place and slightly lacking in finesse. But I like this take - Quite tight on the palate at this stage PNP but the tannins are quite fine and will need some time to open up its structure.

93 points for now. Reserved for long term observations.

2 full days with 1/2 bottle left uncorked in fridge: side by side with the 1-day slow oxed Fenocchio Villero 2015 this has drier tannins. The acidity is a little sharp and out of balance now. Fall back to 92-93 points.
