Friday, June 3, 2022 - This was awkward on first open. Tart, acidic, disjoined. I opted to decant it for ~1h and what a difference that made. A nice reminder to take time with a wine that preliminary doesn't strike your fancy; sometimes one's impressions right off the date may not be everything to it.

Delicate red fruit with some streaks of black, raspberries, cranberries, tart black cherries, boysenberries perfumed with rosebuds and dried violets. Notes of iron-rich earth, worn saddle, morels, and sandalwood, alongside its velvety tannins help give the wine depth and structure. This grew on me quite a bit. Drinking well now, but quite a bit up upside potential here.

ABV: 13%
Closure: natural cork
Stem: Grassl Cru
Decant: 1h
