Sunday, October 25, 2020 - Classic Pfalz Riesling in an accessible and fruity style. Light straw yellow. Nice nose dominated by green apples, peaches and just a small hint of petroleum. Medium bodied with a sweet, appley fruit attack. The sweet fruit then gives way to citrus and lime, and the finish is dominated by green apples and citrus. A treat to drink with raw oysters, and a generally very drinkable wine. Drink now, but no hurry. This wine will evolve slowly (screw cap will see to that) over the next five years, and will probably evolve a bit more towards a mineral style.
