Wednesday, September 13, 2017 - Beautifully ripe dense fruit. Blackberry, Blueberry and bruised strawberry notes on the nose and palate. Enters with a lightness and round mouthfeel that contradicts the density of the fruit. Great spice and slight smoke notes as well. Where this goes wrong for me is in the dry oak heavy finish. All vanilla, charcoal and wood on the finish.

A great wine, that ends up merely "nice" due to over-oaking.
