Friday, February 5, 2021 - First bottle of the Muenchberg from Ostertag and it is immediately on the rebuy list; this was killer stuff; the nose had a good whiff of petrol initially, but this quickly integrated into a nose driven by mineral and soil tones with lime, pear, red apple, and floral notes; just a hint of lychee or some tropical note; the palate is vibrant and full throttle with flavor, but feels very refined and elegant despite the concentration. As much as I like the Fronholz, this is clearly a level up for me; killer stuff
