Sunday, October 20, 2013 - Clear, pale straw yellow with large, copious and persistent perlage. The nose is clean, and delicate, with aromas of white flowers and stone fruit. The palate is clean with just a hint of sweetness. The alcohol is subdued at 11.5%. The acidity is medium and counter-balances the fruit. The mouthfeel is soft and velvety. The finish is medium to medium (+) with a touch of minerality. This is a well made, nicely balanced sparkler from the Grave appellation. Good by itself or with food, and a great value. It is very drinkeable. In my initial enthusiasm I rated it a 90, but I think 88 is more realistic.
